Welcome to the Quebec premises identification portal. It is the only official website that allows agri-food businesses to obtain a premises identification (PID) number in order to meet the requirements of the traceability regulation. Obtaining a PID is free and the service is available in English and French.
A premises is a land parcel defined by a legal description (cadastral lot) or, in its absence, by georeferenced coordinates, where farm animals are kept, assembled or disposed of. Each premises must be identified by an official number, which is required for traceability information reporting. Only one PID can be issued for a land parcel, regardless of the number or types of species present.
The Quebec premises identification portal allows farm owners, operators or tenants to apply to obtain a unique PID number per land parcel in a simple and secure manner. You can register your operation by completing the online form or by calling the Attestra Customer Service Department.
By clicking on « Registration », you will access the application form for a PID number.
If you already applied for a PID number and wish to obtain information about its processing, click on « Status of a PID request ».
